Grant Writer

The Grant Writer will support the mission of Community Food Bank of Central Alabama and is responsible for all aspects of grant activities (researching, writing, reporting) in compliance with the Development Department’s goals and objectives. Includes developing and executing a comprehensive and aggressive program to generate grant support from existing sources and new opportunities via Feeding America, private/corporate foundations, federal and state programs, local municipalities, civic and religious groups, etc. Works with Director of Development, Corporate Manager, and other staff to achieve or exceed goals of the grant program. Collaborates with other Food Bank staff related to grant proposals as appropriate.

Food Sourcing and Assistant Director of Operations

The Food Sourcing and Assistant Director of Operations is responsible for the Food Bank’s food sourcing and food purchasing plan that supplies over 255+ partner feeding programs and the Food Bank’s direct grocery/meal programs. This role monitors the inventory control system including food handling & storage, inventory records, inventory levels and execution of cycle counts. This position is also responsible for implementing the Food Bank’s food safety program, ensuring compliance with AIB, USDA and Feeding America standards. Food safety duties include but are not limited to recall response, food defense implementation and staff food safety training. This role also assists with quality control and the supervision of drivers and warehouse associates ensuring workplace safety and excellent customer service.

Human Resource Coordinator

The HR Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all matters related to benefits administration, policies and procedures, payroll, and recruiting and onboarding processes for new hires. The HR Coordinator will work with our HR consultant to ensure we are up to industry standards on HR-related matters.

The ideal candidate possesses a solid ethical framework and understanding of confidentiality and has demonstrated integrity, accountability, and a strong work ethic in prior experience.

Loading Dock Coordinator

The Loading Dock Coordinator is responsible for carrying out direction from the Director of Operations to support the management of all loading dock activities from outbound loads. Truck Driver (Non-CDL)

CFBCA’s Truck Drivers are responsible for safe and efficient daily warehouse operations, delivery of food to clients, and pick up of donations from donors in the service area. Drivers develop and maintain donor and partner relationships with excellent customer service skills.
